Does Wagner's new video with former Gov. Mike Huckabee reaffirm Jotte's assertion that she's part of the 'status quo'?
A week after Congressional primary candidate Dr. Randy Jotte painted Ann Wagner as the "establishment's designee" for Missouri's 2nd District, the campaign for the Ballwin Republican released a campaign video highlighting Wagner's endorsement by the high profile former governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. In an email to supporters and media outlets, Jotte, who resides in Webster Groves, said last week he officially filed as a candidate and cited a desire to reduce the national debt and cut down expenses associated with health care. Jotte works as an emergency room physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Jotte said Republicans in power are responsible for a gridlock preventing solutions to health care reform, and identified …

Campaigns these days can no longer just rely on advertisements and direct mail to deliver a message. They also need to have a quick-fire presence on the Web. That aforementioned statement is not necessarily revolutionary. Campaigns have utilized the Web as both a messaging tool and an opposition research mechanism for more than a decade. But with more and more people getting information about politics and politicians through the Web, the demand is high for manpower to update Twitter pages, fill Facebook pages, manage e-mail lists and organize YouTube videos. The former presidential candidate said Congressional-hopeful Ann Wagner of Ballwin comes from "a family that has lived the values we talk about."
Former Gov. Mike Huckabee tapped core conservative issues in his endorsement of Congressional candidate and Ballwin resident Ann Wagner on Thursday, rallying supporters in advance of Republican primaries in August. In a speech that touched on issues ranging from the cost of gasoline to the curricula of public schools, Huckabee praised Wagner’s political and personal life. “This is a family that has lived the values we talk about,” Huckabee said. “If you can manage a household, if you can manage a small business, if you can serve in capacities as she has … you have a really good understanding of the full-scope of America.” Huckabee said the endorsement was likely to be one of less than a dozen Congressional races nationwide that the former …

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee will move to the forefront of a local campaign for Missouri's 2nd Congressional District.
Mike Huckabee's GOP push at caucuses and primaries across the country will continue into next month with a trip into Ballwin. Following an endorsement by Huckabee announced in November, the former presidential candidate will make the visit on behalf of Ballwin resident Ann Wagner, who will contend with Ed Martin in the GOP primaries for the 2nd Congressional District in August. The trip may seem a long way from Huckabee's home state of Arkansas, but the former governor has far from left public view since leaving office in 2007. Since the recent formation of "HuckPAC," a conservative political action committee, Huckabee has assisted with fundraising for national races in at least 9 states since 2008. As of Sept. 30, 2011—a month before …
