MoDOT Names Dave Nichols as New Director

MoDOT says Dave Nichols has served the department for more than 29 years. His appointment comes after Kevin Keith suddenly resigned from the position last month.

As previously reported by Patch, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced a change in leadership with the sudden resignation of MoDOT Director Kevin Keith in March who was taking medical leave immediately. At that time, it was announced that Chief Engineer Dave Nichols would serve as interim director. This week, MoDOT announced Nichols, who has been with the department for more than 29 years, has been selected as the new director. MoDOT released the following details of the change in the following news release. Rockwood Alum Says 'It’s Like Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!'

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: "A top-rated school district deserves the best school board and the best people to run it," states one alumnus of the Rockwood School District.

As one of the first students to attend Lafayette High, my wife and four children are all alumni. When asked what high school did you attend, we are ready and proud to say “Lafayette High School." Rockwood has always provided a good education, and is rated a top school district in Missouri. Some of the Rockwood schools are even ranked nationally. The alumni of Rockwood remember their high school teachers and many have come back to work in Rockwood. But when alumni and voters are looking at the actions of the school board, it is like a “Ripley’s Believe It or Not." Congratulations to Steve Smith for resigning. Read the email the school sent to parents after Christian Brothers College High School President Mike England resigned this weekend citing personal reasons.

Christian Brothers College High School President Mike England resigned suddenly Sunday citing personal reasons, according to CBC Director of Communications Rob Staggenborg. Christian Brothers College High School President Mike England resigned this weekend citing personal reasons, school staff confirms to Patch.

UPDATED: 1:10 p.m. Monday- After a reported 25 years with the school, Christian Brothers College High School President Mike England resigned suddenly Sunday citing personal reasons, according to CBC Director of Communications Rob Staggenborg. The school is located just off Highway 40 in Town and Country.  "The faculty was notifed on Sunday that he resigned for personal reasons," Staggenborg tells Patch. "As far as I know, no one really knew about it until the announcement was made." Staggenborg said school staff cannot release much information on the resignation since it's a personnel issue, but tells Patch it was all very unexpected and parents were then notified by email Monday morning.
